Privacy policy

Who we are
Nottinghamshire Removals is the data controller for information you send through this website. Our contact address for data protection matters is hello@nottinghamshireremovals.co.uk.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address, both addresses, your preferred date if you give one, and whatever you write in the notes. If you email us, we hold the contents of that email.
The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. Google receives technical information about the request in order to tell a person from an automated submission, subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.
The address you are moving to
On a long move we frequently hold a destination address before you live there, and sometimes before the purchase or tenancy has completed. We treat that as sensitive: it is used for surveying access, arranging permissions and planning the route, and for nothing else.
Where we contact a council about a parking suspension, or a managing agent about a lift booking, we share only what those parties need — typically the address, the date and the nature of the work. We do not tell them why you are moving.
Partner crews at the far end
On some long routes a partner crew assists with the delivery. Where that happens we share your name, the delivery address, a contact number and the scope of work, and nothing else. We will tell you in advance if a partner crew is involved in your move.
Why we hold it
To quote and to carry out the work. That is our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you started, and where you book, performance of a contract with you.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or pass them to lead-generation companies or comparison sites.
Who else sees it
Our own staff and crew, our hosting and email providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and a storage facility or partner crew where one is involved.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are plainly stale. Completed jobs are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, insurance and claims purposes, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@nottinghamshireremovals.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. reCAPTCHA sets cookies necessary for its anti-abuse function when you use the form.
Changes
If we change this policy the updated version appears on this page.
